EVERY DAY'S A LEARNING DAY - EVEN FOR THE TUTOR

One of the many amazing things is that every day is a learning day. Even though I run the courses, plan the days and structure the content you can never be certain of how things will play out.

A while ago I adopted a different approach to Microsoft SharePoint courses. I have many standard outlines I could use and follow rigidly but that approach didn’t seem to be working effectively.

SharePoint is always a difficult one for people to assess their own levels - there are so many uses for the service and there isn’t the usual beginner/intermediate/advanced distinction between users.

So now I have a very flexible approach based on my own knowledge and experiences but also talking to and listening to the people who need my help

An example last week - a course that was booked as a standard user course (1 day) turned into more of site admin mixed with consultancy as the group were looking for very specific advice and help.

I always know when I’ve had a good day - when my own head hurts at the end of it as I am using all parts of my poor little brain!
