SUMMARY

To provide online training sessions to groups of up to 10 users, instructing them in the concept and use of modern cloud-based systems.

This project is funded centrally by the Welsh Assembly.

contract scope

The contract called for the development and delivery of 4 separate course that would be delivered to different cohorts of users who work for Housing Associations across South Wales.

The courses are:

·         Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint

·         Microsoft Teams

·         Microsoft Excel Online

·         Microsoft Word and Outlook Online

timescales

A successful pilot programme was developed and delivered in April 2021 which was well received and the go ahead for a full roll-out was given. The final courses were fine-tuned from the original brief to take into account the feedback received from users and management.

This programme is expected to last until the end of July 2021 but with the option of continuing if funding is secured.

So far, all milestones have been achieved on time.

The pilot sessions providing vital insight into how we would deliver the courses, so this is something that continues to have a high value.

OTHER Information

The delivery of courses is done remotely so there have been some issues with connections to meetings and links working for all attendees. We have additional checks to ensure that all booked attendees have meeting links beforehand.

Although not as large in scope as the FCA requirement, this demonstrates how we can plan, implement, and manage an ongoing, remotely delivered project successfully.
